CrabModeling, rigging, animation, staging, lighting, rendering all done in Blender. Shading done in Substance Painter. Final comp in Nuke

Scout TroopersScout Trooper model bought off turbosquid. Retopologized, rigged, and animated in Maya. Shaded in Substance Painter. Staging lighting, camera, and rendering all done in Unreal Engine. Final Comp in Nuke

Walking through Sand-Camera and feet tracked in Nuke. Sand simulation in Houdini. Final comp in Nuke

Gingerbread Zoetrope- A zoetrope is a static model (a cake in this case) that when rotated at the same speed as the framerate, it plays a video. Modeled procedurally in Houdini. Rendered in Karma

 

Clay Firepit- Scene made for a diorama project. Everything done in Blender

​

Hearts on Locker- Actors were shot on greenscreen, keyed in Nuke, and brought into Blender for reflection/shadow on locker. I did not model the lockers.

​

Beating Rock Heart- Needed a rock heart to beat, but the rock heart was modeled as a single mesh. While a different artist broke the heart into individual gem pieces, I created an HDA for Houdini that would let you move a small sphere through an object, and the pieces would move away from the object. This made the heartbeat very easy to animate once the individual pieces were delivered. Final comp done in Nuke, including the light rays that come out of the heart.

Death of Julius Caesar- Based off the 1806 painting by Vincenzo Camuccini. Cleanplate done in Photoshop. 2.5D breakout in After Effects

Snow Plow- 2D assets created in Adobe Illustrator. Brought into After Effects for 2d and 3d animation

​

Scout Trooper targeting system- Targeting system with a scout trooper wireframe icon that rotates depending on its position on the screen. Other targeting lines also move procedurally based on its distance. Rotation can also be adjusted manually.
